Introduction
Mongo is a free, open source application which provides a graphical environment to display your ReplayTV information and shows, send your shared show information to Poopli, and share your shows with others via ReplayTV internet video sharing (IVS). Mongo runs on Linux and MacOS X, and uses the PoopliUpdater command-line interface (CLI) to communicate with Poopli.

2/24/08: Yet another build is now available, Mongo 1.3. Two bug fixes on this one, the first a crash right at the main screen during scrolling, and the second one during launching the Send Log window. All these bugs were introduced by backward-incompatibilities in newer versions of Tcl extensions that Mongo uses. Mongo can now also be used with the latest version of Mono.
2/18/08: A new minor revision, again Mac only, is now available: Mongo 1.2. This fixes the Help menu crash, and reports detection of an incompatible version of mono. PLEASE NOTE: The current version of mono, 1.2.6, available from mono-project.org, does NOT work with mono/poopli updater CLI. Use version 1.2.5 instead.
1/28/08: Again not Mongo related, but along the lines of ReplayTV related utilities, here's the latest release of VLC (version 0.8.6d) with commercial advance support.
12/23/07: A new Mac OS mongo build, version 1.1 is now available. It doesn't contain any new features, but it's now a universal binary (loads faster, takes less memory on Intel Macs), and works properly on Mac OS 10.4.11 and 10.5 (Leopard). Get it here.
2/19/07: Not really Mongo related, but the Mac users will appreciate this. There is now a build of the VideoLan player, VLC, for MacOS that supports commercial advance when playing ReplayTV files. It works really well when you use it as the streaming video player with DVArchive. Download Link.

The domain name for the RDDNS backup servers is up for renewal, and its maintainer is accepting paypal donations. Please pitch in to keep the backup RDDNS DNS service (which mongo uses) going! Click the paypal button to donate.3/15/06: The Mac OS X version of Mongo has been tested on an Intel Mac and it works ok, as long as the x86 version of mono is used.
2/2/06: Another build of Mongo 1.0 for Mac OS X has been created to fix cosmetic and functional issues with the QuickSend and Karma dropdowns and Log Viewer scrollbars. This is the last and official Mongo 1.0 release.
1/24/06: An updated version of Mongo 1.0 for Mac OS X is now available. This fixes the problem with dismissing the ReplayTV info screen.
1/23/06: Mongo 1.0 in general seems to be a lot more stable and usable according to initial feedback, but it does introduce one problem: The ReplayTV information screen, which comes up by right-clicking on a ReplayTV unit in the main window and selecting "ReplayTV Information", can not be dismissed. Clicking on the Dismiss button apparently doesn't work, and this renders the application unusable since the information window grabs input focus. This happens only on the Mac OS X version, the Linux version is unaffected. Check back for updates and to download the fixed version when it's available.
1/20/06: Mongo 1.0 is finally ready, but in preview (i.e. not general release) while testing takes place. Download the Linux version or the Mac OS X version.
1/13/06: Mongo 1.0rc2 is out! Linux tarball can be downloaded here and Mac OS X dmg here. This would be the last release candidate before the official 1.0 release, and the feature list is now frozen (well... unless I get a really good feature request).
